Terms of Service

Last Updated: February 24, 2026

Welcome to PDF2EPUB ("we," "our," or "us"). By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.

1. Description of Service

PDF2EPUB provides an artificial intelligence-powered online tool designed to convert document files (such as PDFs) into reflowable formats (such as EPUB). The service is provided on a credit-based model.

2. Merchant of Record and Billing

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. By making a purchase, you also agree to Paddle's Terms and Conditions. All billing, payment processing, and related customer support are handled by Paddle. For information regarding refunds, please refer to our Refund Policy.

3. Accounts and Credits

  • Account Registration: You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials.
  • Credit System: Our service operates on a usage-based credit system. Credits are deducted from your account balance based on the volume or complexity of the documents processed.
  • Non-Transferable: Credits hold no real-world monetary value, are non-transferable between accounts, and cannot be exchanged for cash.
  • Expiration: Unless otherwise stated in your specific plan, purchased credits may expire if your account remains inactive for a period of 12 months.

4. Acceptable Use and Prohibited Conduct

To ensure the stability of our AI infrastructure and fairness for all users, you agree NOT to:

  • Abuse the API/System: Engage in high-frequency automated requests, concurrent connection flooding, or any activity that imposes an unreasonable load on our servers or AI processing queues.
  • Reverse Engineer: Attempt to decompile, reverse engineer, or scrape our underlying models, website architecture, or code.
  • Upload Illegal Content: Upload, process, or distribute documents that contain child exploitation material, malware, or content that violates any applicable laws.
  • Infringe Copyrights: Upload documents for which you do not own the rights or have the explicit permission of the copyright holder to process and reproduce. You are solely responsible for the legal right to convert and download the files you submit.

Violation of these rules will result in immediate account termination without a refund of any remaining credits.

5. Intellectual Property and User Data

  • Your Content: We claim no ownership over the documents you upload or the generated EPUB files. You retain all intellectual property rights to your files.
  • Data Processing: We process your uploaded files temporarily solely for the purpose of performing the requested conversion. We do not permanently store your documents or use your private data to train our AI models without explicit consent. Files are automatically deleted from our servers after 7 days.
  • Our Platform: We retain all rights, title, and interest in the PDF2EPUB website, branding, software, and underlying AI conversion pipelines.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

Our service relies on complex artificial intelligence and OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technologies. While we strive for high-quality outputs, we DO NOT guarantee that the converted documents will be 100% accurate, error-free, or perfectly formatted.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS-IS" AND "AS-AVAILABLE" BASIS. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PDF2EPUB and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the service.

8. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or a prominent notice on our website. Continued use of the service after such changes constitutes your consent to the updated Terms.
